Privacy Policy

Account information: when you sign up with Clerk, we receive the name, email address, and profile photo you authorise. We do not store your password — authentication is handled securely by Clerk.

Content you create: panoramic images, virtual tours, AI room redesigns, site analysis reports, sketch uploads, meeting recordings/transcripts, and chat messages you send to us through the support chat.

Course activity: Shauri Academy course enrolment and lesson progress (stored in MongoDB) so we can resume your learning.

Payment information: when you buy credits or plans, the payment itself is processed by Paystack. We receive the transaction reference, amount, and status — never your card number.

Usage and analytics: pages visited and approximate device/browser information via Google Analytics 4 (only after you accept cookies).

Newsletter: the email address you submit through the newsletter form, stored in our database so we can send updates.

To provide and operate the services: creating tours, generating designs, running analyses, processing payments, and supporting your account.

To improve the product: aggregated, non-identifying analytics help us understand how the platform is used.

To communicate: service updates, payment receipts, and — only if you subscribe — news and design tutorials.

To keep the platform safe: moderating community content, preventing abuse, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Shauri AI runs on Vercel. Data is stored with the providers used by the service: Neon (PostgreSQL) for tours, chat, and CMS content; Supabase for uploaded images and storage; MongoDB for academy courses and progress; Paystack for payment records.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, authenticated access) to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers above, and only to the extent needed to run the platform (e.g., Paystack receives the transaction details you authorise at checkout).

We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Shauri AI, our users, or the public.

Essential cookies keep the app working (authentication, session state). Non-essential analytics cookies are only loaded after you give consent via the cookie banner.

You can withdraw or change consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. You may also export or delete content you created.

Shauri AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
